A lively jaunt over the river and through the tunnels, to my massive superconstruction: Midgar 2.0. Tunnels need to be widened, of course, and i plan to flatten EVERYTHING under the enormous plates, but it's still impressive.
Made in infdev, materials were gathered by hand (well, by shovel and pickaxe) no hacks were used for anything. :D

Watch me play with it more on my livestream, http://livestream.com/malicraft
and check my twitter, http://twitter.com/malikat to see when i'll be streaming.
:3

Minecraft Infdev game, a most amazing game. www.minecraft.net
you have to pre-order to play infdev, but it's worth it. So worth it.

  • Holy crap, that's awesome. But like someone else asked, what will it be for?

  • @BOBALOO919 well, the path is for minecarts from midgar to the new outpost

Midgar is a long-term project that will eventually be an homage to the first city in FF7.

Not a reproduction, because i suck at those, but an homage because lol giant city above the slums is a cool idea.

  • 1 word: NICE

  • @dyldylou thanks bro. :D

  • What are you going to use that for anyway?

Also, that's a big waste of torches in the path to your project. You could take out half of them and still have enough light.

  • @Ditherliss it's going to be a minecart track. I'm a little short of iron though. The torches are that close together to create a flickery effect if the minecart is moving at speed. I speculate it may look cool. Besides, I have almost enough coal to line Midgar's circumference, i'm not worried about running out. :D

  • It could use some work. I'd like to help in some way.

  • whats the music called? I like it :D

  • heh, i'm doin it as right as you, in some time i'll upload a vid to show it^^

  • @aozgolo I agree, I don't see how you can build on the top of the plate. Also, why did I waste 3 minutes of my life watching this guy run thru tunnels? Just to see the plates up? I'm working on my own version and I'm happy to see that no one else is doing it right hehe

  • hmmm i made a minimini midgar XD still kinda big :P

thinking of building a bigger :P would be awesome to build on a server but it would probably be greifed :/

  • I was actually planning to do this myself, the only issue with yours I see is that you'll have no room to build on top of the plate (unless the current plate is simply placeholder to get scale accurate). In my version I intended to use a program like MCEdit to push the grass level to about 10 spaces above Bedrock to allow for much more V Height

  • @Malikat42 aaah, please message me when you have posted a video of the finished version because it will look amazing!

  • What's the song?

  • Also, sister ray woudl make me cream.

  • FF7 = CAN I MARRY YOU? You brought back many memories :)
