The Holy Ghost was the ultimate Christian coup. It was invented pretty late in the game. Can anyone tell us what exactly it is? It's the one thing you can't deny and ask forgiveness for. You can deny God, but not the Holy Ghost. I guess all we really know about it is that it has absolutely no sense of humor.

@bombarderoazul False! A typical christian lie. The Soviet Union did not promote atheism, you cannot promote a lack of belief. What they did is ban chruches because they saw them as a threat to their power. The Soviet Union was just as dogmatic as christianity is. Besides after WW2 Stalin reinstated the churches and they opened their doors again.

@TheKr4ig that's funny because the soviet union actually promoted atheism, and the government actually considered itself atheist, which is why today Russia has about 30% atheists.

@ib422000 No. Faith is not trust... in fact, they are opposites. Trust is evidence based. When I push on the brakes, I know it's going to work, because it has before, and I understand what is occuring. Faith is not only not required, it is expressly lacking in this case. You don't seem to undertand what faith is. The pedals are tangible, they are real. Faith does not allow for knowledge. Faith in the evidenced is impossible. If evidenced, it is knowledge. Faith is not knowledge, but ignorance.
