Robert: A Chilling Tale of a Boy and his Doll

Courage now, dear friends. We bring you a story that will turn your heart black with fear. Robert is a theatrical telling of a real Key West paranormal tale. It was created by local Orlando puppeteer April Tennyson, and features performances by two other Orlando performers: Jonathan West and Jessica Sugiyuchi. The tale finds a man returning to his childhood home with his new wife. Past and present begin to collide in what can only be called TRUE HORROR.

This show was part of the Puppet Slam at the 2009 Orlando Fringe Theater Festival. Puppet Slams are a new wave of underground short-form theater that is sprouting all over the nation. They can feature any form of puppetry, and often branch into dance, stage magic, juggling, or any performative art that can be imagined.

This Puppet Slam was produced by Ibex Puppetry, an Orlando company dedicated to the production of cutting-edge puppet theatre and film.
