Pakistani rock band Junoon performing live.
Song from Junoon's album Azadi. The album was not only a hit in the subcontinent but also was a hit in Europe and North America.
Allama Iqbal's poem was an inspiration for this song. Allama Iqbal is a well known poet and philosopher and is a national figure of Pakistan. In Iran he is known as Iqbal-e-Lahori.

  • hahahahah, nahi bhai, atleast this way, the youth knows about the poem, otherwise Iqbal would have been lost within the new generation.

    Hats off to Junoon!

  • Allama Iqbal is a universal poet. His poetry is for everybody. Lata Mangeshkar has also sung Iqbal. Kabhi aye haqiqat-e-muntazir nazar a libas-e-majaz men ke hazaron sajday tarap rahay meri ek jabin-o-niaz men. If this poetry is on video and somebody has it, would he like to post it on Utube. It will be a great service to fine art and urdu literature.
