Bill DeClerk of DeClerk LP Gas comes at you again with some excellent advice on using propane rather than gasoline to power a generator for electricity. This is an efficient and clean way to use propane rather than gasoline in an emergency situation, or just to have around the house.

  • Thanks, received some good info. I'm really looking for a auto switching transfer unit as well, I found a few brands but have not made up my mind yet on which one to go with as of yet. but thanks for the good info.

  • I would like to do this with my generator. Live in FL and the threat of losing power is always there during Hurricane Season. How hard is this to do? Also, I have a full large tank (forklift type), can that be used to power generator?
