Came home today to my Roomba experiencing some problems. Does yours make a clunking noise as it drives along?? Or the brushes error, but the brushes are clean?!? This is how I fixed mine!

  • Lack of maintenance. As per the instructions, clean the thing out after every or every other cleaning operation.

  • @zipperneck1321 Hmmmm, but I admit, I didn't see anywhere that suggested cleaning in under there. I was cleaning my at least weekly and never knew the hair got stuck under there. All good now though :)

Weekly cleaning? Ouch! I run my Roomba 564 Pet at least 5 times a week and usually every day. We have a dog so it is quite necessary. We have no carpeting, just tiling.

Cleaning after every use is mandatory in my case, and often the castor wheel becomes tight with fur and gunk.

At any rate, if I don't do it nobody will and since I don't want to shell out another 400+ euros for a new one, I have to take care of it. Had to replace the castor wheel once as notches became worn.

  • @zipperneck1321 Wow, yeah sounds like your Roomba gets a big workout!

I'm trying to make sure I clean mine more regularly, but its so easy to forget about when you don't see it run :)

  • the dust build up and all that hair can cause it to jam and make those clicking noise i have the 530

  • @sunshine19967 My wife's long hair is the culprit :-P

  • @goosecreek6 No worries :)

  • @ArchieFan42192 No worries mate. Took me a while to figure it out, but it makes a difference.

  • @blades1975 on the new models, the brass bushing pulls off without taking off the screws

  • Had the same problem, watched your video, performed the maintenance and bingo it all fixed. Thanks so much for putting the video together.
