This team from Southern California performing the Yang Short Form placed 1st at the 2006 World Cup of Tai Chi Chuan in Taipei, Taiwan in Nov. 2006. They train with Master Robert Hsing (www.lightning-taichi.org) at the Brea Shaolin Kung Fu School. www.breashaolinkungfu.com
Note: the music was played with their performance but the audio on the tape was very poor so it was added later to this version. It is "Battle in the Forest" from the soundtrack of House of Flying Daggers.

nice to watch but dont like formation tai chi. ok for competitions. everybody is different and staggered movement from person to person better to watch. shows individuality. like musicians playing with music sheets. individual performers still play the melody but also play with there own feelings at that moment in time

I agree there is no locked positions, everything is open and flowing motions. However the movements where good, nice flowing symetry, well done.

I have been doing Yang Style 6 years now. They're flow and waist movement is spot on. However, the kicks are too high? In the Replulse Monkey and Wave Hands, some of them show locked elbows and shoulder tension. Stances are maybe a little too long in spots? However, they got the most important element right - FLOW.......
