Gene Nichols Playing Saw Univ. Of Maine Country Joe McDonald "Fixing To Die Rag" County Wide TV News

After an 81 hiatus, the University of Maine at Machias Ukulele Club has reformed. The group is led by UMM professor Gene Nichols. The group recently raised $1200 so they could attend a ceidlihl in Nova Scotia.....and have funds to return home again.

Professor Gene Nichols is shown playing the saw on the song Somewhere Over The Rainbow from the Wizard of Oz. It's Country Joe and the Fish, "Feel Like I'm Fixing to Die Rag." As performed on Woodstock '69. A protest and original song are also performed by the group which did the performance at the Center Street Congregational Church in Machias on October 20, 2007.
