Well, I think I did this one mostly for myself :)

I never quite understood why having the best product is not necessarily a guarantee for success. I underestimated the marketing factor. So this was the end for Commodore. People wanted to have PC and Windows. At least they got what they deserved. :)
All that is left is memories...

For all younger people finding the graphics or music ridiculous: Be aware that the games you play today will have the same fate soon... I was more impressed by the graphics back then than I ever was later in any game.

And for those wondering about the ball:

  • Cooles Video!!! Eines finde ich jedoch sehr schade. Nach Shadow of the Beast hatte "Apidya 2" den coolsten Soundtrack aller Zeiten auf Amiga!!! Hammer geil, darf nicht fehlen :-) By the way, Amiga is back!!! Commodore hat sich die Rechte vor ein paar Monaten von Amiga gekauft. In Planung ist ein neuer PC für 2011 check out "Amiga Event in Essen X1000 in Action" auf YouTube. (An der Messe in Essen)

  • @KimIsIll Danke! (Hab hier schon länger nicht reingeguckt...). Kommt eben immer drauf an was man so gespielt hat... Klar kenn ich Apidya, ich hätte noch soviel andere nehmen können... :) thx für die Info, werd ich mir ansehen.

  • You did a great job there mate. Nice Video, well done. My last Miggy A1200 died a good few years back. Got a quad core PC these days but stll miss the old Amiga so I hang out in the Amiga channels on Youtube remeniscing... aahhh... the Good Old Days. I want to play Turrican II again. It was classic.

  • Thank you so much! I've been trying to find the title of the game The Seven Gates of Jambala for years... I loved it so much. You've made my week =).

  • P.S I also played the Karate game, that game was great as well.

  • I find newer games do not have the same playability as older games, I had a PS3 now I ahve an Xbox, the Xbox I use for the HD DVD's and when I had the playstation 3 I tried countless games and just couldn't get into it, I ended up buying sonic the hedgehog the original game for the PS3, which makes you realize something. I also tried gears of war, utter rubbish compared to Goldeneye or perfect dark for the N64...I played bubble bobble, only game I played from the video above.

  • Great video. YOU ARE MISSING DATASTORM!!!! It's one of the best amiga game intro scores imho.

  • Ha ha I used to do Bubble bobble too

  • Where did you get the animated music graph?

  • @morn1415 Kein Thema. Mach ich doch gern. Hoffe, dass Amiga wieder den weg in die Spielszene findet. Wäre bestimmt interessant.
