i think he does it because he likes the softness

They are so in touch with different textures, maybe he just loves the feel of the carpet after you vacuum?? he he but it def is cute, better than screaming from the noise!! :) adorable boy!

hehe cuuuute no matter why he's doin' it lol

Vacuuming fluffs up the carpet fibers. It's softer and fuzzier than normal.

my son is 5 and still doing the same, he uses the forehead to explore different surfaces

I wonder if either he's mimicking the vacuum cleaner, or if he gets the sensation of the static electricity in the carpet which may be stronger right after vacuuming. He's adorable, btw :) Best wishes!

Maybe he's making sure the carpet's all clean.

Has he always done this? My autistic daughter started doing something like that around the 2-year mark. I ought to post a video of it soon if I ever find the time.

we think my two year old son has autism, multiple speech therapists say he probably has either autism or SPD but we need him evaluated by an OT...the one morning fit video you did, my son does that sometimes too
He only does this right after I vacuum lol

He is 3 and a half and still in pullups. He only rubs on the carpet like that right after I vacuum haha. Most of his sensory issues are in his mouth...which you can see from the Luca spitting video (;
