  • Can I use Cow Dong to help the soil in anyway? Was that a 24 pound bag you used and how huch of it did you use......why did you not apply sun blocker to protect it from the sun( water & white paint)..........the chicken wire is for the roots or to protect it from gophers........ and what month was it when you planted these trees.....thank you much.......Francisco from San Jose Ca...

  • Cow shit has too much salt in it, it will damage the roots of the trees and show up as very brown leaf tips.

    Leave chicken mesh alone, the tree roots will grow through it and it will protect the primary roots of the trees
