  • most desktop computer today are run by sata cable. Do you have tester for that?

  • @pulisfatola We test for power coming out of the power supply

  • hiya does the power supply need to be running like with the fan on? because I am having a problem where it gives a green light to the motherboard but won't switch on at all.

  • @ljmfilms If you are using a psu tester, as soon as you connect the 20/24 pin connector that should start the fan running, if all you are getting is a green light in a computer, we would suggest trying a new power supply

  • I would think that if your getting +12 at the floppy connector, then there would be no need to test all of the molex connectors on the same line since they are all wired 2gether...

  • @BlackCaScorpio That's correct, but we can't take any chances, so we have to be thorough

  • You're right. I'm not too savvy with older machines but I know that. Very nice video.

  • The reason why the -5v light isn't on is because only older power supplies have it. It's a white wire and as far as I can tell I can't see it in the video so that leads me to believe that the supply is fine.
