SMW2+2: Yoshi's Island 1-7 100% TAS

Been messing around with TAS'ing for a few weeks now. Made some for the earlier levels in SMW2+2, but they all suck ass and I need to redo them and stuff.

Still can't TAS anywhere near as well as NxCy, Baxter, LightBlueYoshi, or Spezzafer, but I'm getting the hang of it a little bit. =)

I believe this one is good enough to show off, so I've decided to share it with everyone. Enjoy!

I'm so sorry. I remember you mentioning that on another video months ago and I thought "I'll get onto that as soon as I get home" and then totally forgot. Anyway, *fixed*. Now there's an uploads section to see the irrelevent order I uploaded stuff, other than finding the newest stuff. ;)

As for real time, I'm more intrigued with TAS on emulator because of the lag that exists even under ideal conditions. It hinders my ability to play as well and is mildly frustrating.

I'd be more intrigued to consider real-time if the input-lag was completely absent, but with my plate of "to do" list on regular Yoshi's Island, I doubt I'll have enough free time to get into SMW2+2 or Kamek's Revnege in real-time in a serious manner.

If you mean per level, an average level will take me 4-5 hours (or one single night of dedication). This level was super annoying with the foam shot at 0:19. For about 2 hours I tried to get that shot using only 1 egg, but it's VERY inconsistent and I gave up and settled for it being a 2-egg solution.

As for the whole game ... that would take quite a few months, if not about a year to do, to be honest.

As far as TAS'ing that would be awesome. I'm hoping to get good enough to be able to consider full-game TAS'ing this myself. But if you beat me to the punch, it's all good. Plenty of hacks to destroy. ;P

Super Mario World 2+2 by ROM hacking genius Golden Yoshi AKA Jacob. He's currently working on an expansion dubbed "SMW2+2 Extra" which will include a sixth world and harder difficulty than the five featured in this hack, which partially saddens me. SMW2+2 shines much better IMO because the difficulty is tuned so finely (say versus other ROM hacks like Kamek's Revenge), but I'm still anxious to play when it's released.

It's rather coincidental that you asked that. I'm working on a 1-1 100% TAS for Kamek's Revenge right now. I'll elaborate on my thoughts about that though whenever I finish that up.

(It's MUCH harder than any level I've done so far in SMW2+2)

Ha! Very funny Jacknife! Sad thing is, yes, I sort of blew off streaming that night in order to finish this level. I swear TAS'ing is a rather addictive hobby. Just wish it wasn't so time-consuming!
