The Berlin-based performance duo Eisenaecher/Harder CLAIMS (Janine Eisenächer and Joy Harder) creates performances based on the research of ethnological phenomena and cultural concepts of incorporation and transformation, such as the Haitian Vodou, the Southern-Pacific Cargo Cults, and the Brazilian concept of Antropofagia (cannibalism).
Waiting For Cargo is the title of a series of performances and interactions, at the same time it describes a pool of various performance objects, text material, artistic actions and songs which the artists continuously develop since 2006. Waiting For Cargo #10 We can only be present to the hearing world focuses on actions of physical incorporation, of body-generated sounds and sound-generated bodies. Here, the "Whale Song" is performed in a free, improvised collaboration with the participating performance artists.
Eisenaecher/Harder CLAIMS created their new duo-work especially for ALL HAIL BIZANGO, two evenings of sound and concert performances at DOCK 11 with Das Prinzip (Jörn J. Burmester & Henrik Vestergaard Friis, DE/DK), Otmar Wagner (AUT) and Stuart Lynch (DK). Berlin, November 20th & 21st, 2010.
