Hey Everyone! If you've ever considered moving to Costa Rica, then you don't want to miss this interview with Mendee. She followed her dreams and re-located to Costa Rica, by HERSELF. She answers all the questions: Buying a house in Costa Rica, Starting a Business in Costa Rica, Bringing dogs across the border, does Tico Time really exist and what about Gringo Pricing? Mendee is candid and honest about the advantages and disadvantages making the move to Costa Rica as a single young Gringa from the States. This is part 2 of the interview.

  • Just moved to CR(Quepos) I have been getting along OK but still some bumps in the road. What kind of business does Mendee own? (been here for 1 month)

  • @magnolia77014 Her and her boyfriend made lamps and bamboo furniture.

  • ok??? so where can americans work in CR what types of jobs are there??

  • @counselorllc WATCH our video, I think it's called, "Working in Costa Rica..Can you? Legally?" that might answer some of your questions.

  • @iCostaRica24 thanks i saw it, it was great, but i was not planning to open my own business. I am more into counseling couples and adolescents, so I just need some direction in that area, social services/mental health. I dont know where in CR I can find opportunities like those. They must besomone where though, ppl in every country have problems. I may want to relocate after I complete college,,, Thanks again

  • @counselorllc REally, it would be easier if you just started your own business....you're only talking a few hundred dollars.... because you can't get hired here for those skills.... Funny, that's exactly what I used to do when I was in the STATES.....

I will think about th businesss, its just a bit challenging for me as I am not a business person, as I dont even have a business here. But if I had a few hundred dollars couldnt i apply for permenent residency. I read someone where if you invest in CR you can apply for residency, dnt quote me, but it was somethng like that
