Its amazing that he held off the mountain and he saved other POWs' lives. He is the sort of person I want to be when I grow up, and the person that I hope everyone is like if they are faced with life-threatening situations

Rubin's NCO was an antisemitic neo nazi asshole. Its weird. WWII was to fight and obtain victory over Nazi types. Rubin's NCO turns out to be the exact type of scum that allies had just beaten.

His anti-semitic CO kept giving him life threatening missions in attempt to kill him and he just kept kicking ass.

When he said he wanted to be a GIJOE it just got me I just want to give him a hug what an incredible man, So funny also and what an American!!!! He is the reason we are the country we are people like him makes us great.

I met Mr. Rubin, along with 51 other recipients in Chicago when I was a volunteer for the CMOH convention. What exceptional gentlemen they all are. It was an honor for me to meet them and help them out during that week.

This man is awesome. He's hilarious, he's genuine, and he's a hero if I've ever seen one.
He deserved this medal decades ago. We need more people in the world like Tibor: ready to give his own life for someone else's.
