Since my intitial post, I have received a number of requests for additional video providing details regarding my selection of appropriate methods and materials in the construction of this fiberglass mould. This is my first attempt to do so. Please be patient, but feel free to join in on my journey to once again get me some satisfaction via patience and determination.

  • Very nice work & video! I've watched them many times trying to PU some details. Thank you.

What happenned to videos 3 & 4? They won't play for me.

What brand of epoxy do you use?

How many planes are flying in your squadron?

Any more videos on the way?

    Thanks.

  • Someone expressed concern that I was divulging trade secrets and when I failed to comply with their wishes they sicked the management on me. I use an epoxy formula by Crosslink Technologies. No planes flying yet, I'm still working on the wings. I'll post some vids of the wing mould shortly.

  • I'll upload 3 & 4 again shortly.

  • Thanks for de-mystifying this process. I am going to follow w interest.

  • My pleasure - believe me, if I can do it - anyone can! I hope you found the rest of the series alright. Just click my username (b1heqh54) to go to the channel page. You can find all 9 fuselage videos there. If you subscribe you'll get an email notification when I begin posting wing mould videos soon.

  • Nice transmitter

  • Darth Vader now has STEVEN HAWKINGS VOICE!!!

  • good info.

  • Any update on posting vids 3 & 4???

  • YEs, that's a very good idea to upload 3 and 4.

    Thanx for sharing.

  • Sorry to hear that. Can't imagine what's a trade secret or why they're against helping others. Hope you can re-submit them or send to my E-mail. I would love to see even more detailed vids.

My experience with composites with R/C is limited. My biggest project was making a cowl & prop cover for my full scale Oshkosh winning RV-4. I used my plane as the "plug". The cover was made out of fiberglass, CF, & Kevlar.

Been building models since I was in 4th grade.

  • Hi Darth!
