Vintage Waring Blenders from the 60's & 70's

Here's two vintage Waring blenders or blendors as Waring called them. Both were top of the line models with chrome metal bases, glass jars, a plethora of 14 speeds and a 60 second timer and featured a whopping 1000 watts of power. You don't get that sort of power today except in a Vita Mix or Blendtec type machine. The one on the left is from the late 60's and the one on the right is early to mid 70's. It's doubtful anyone ever used all 14 speeds which is excessive but that's how they liked to do things back then,,more buttons = better = more money AND much much more difficult to keep clean!!!!
That's the price of happiness I guess.

Nice demonstration -- but how do they blend FOOD?

I have the Waring 7 speed Ultima 900. It looks very similar in design with the chrome and the automatic timer. The buttons on mine are arranged horizontally.

Fusion blender is okay, but the wedge shape container can prevent food from falling so you may need to push it down.  Simple flaw for all wedge containers.
