No, we are not extremely happy. There are only so many opportunities out there. There's still people that believe that the spotlight should be for the best. Grigolo is barely good enough to sing comprimario. There are lots of REALLY talented singers out there that are denied opportunities because of lack of connections, money, and...well, don't want to take part in the casting couch !! Shoot I said it, now I will have to hide :)

the most ridiculous thing about this video is that Gheorghiu is easily old enough to be Grigolo's mother. That's wrong. Also, she can't act.

a mio modesto parere, ha una bella voce, ma essendo tenore d'opera, gli manca del tutto la potenza vocale; ma non non penso sia colpa sua, temo purtoppo sia colpa, del fatto che non ci sono più le vecchie scuole di musica, li venivano fuori dei tenori d' opera.
Circa due anni fa sono andato all' arena di verona, a vedere la traviata, e purtoppo il soprano con un minimo di orchestra, non si sentiva. Comunque Grigolo ha una bella voce, anche se debole.

Opera is changing. This sensitive voice is becoming a lot more popular for tenors while the soprano's are expected to be much fatter sounding than Joan Sutherland's bird like tone.

Questo ragazzo e' semplicemente fantastico!! Nonostante la giovane eta' si intuisce gia' il suo grande potenziale. Oggi e' uno dei tenori piu' apprezzati e si esibisce nei maggiori teatri del mondo.

instead of ripping these people down, lets be extreemly happy that they are still making a life in opera, which is the greatist art form of its kind.
