1998 BMW E39 528i VS 1998 Mercedes W210 E230

Two 90's German examples of a family saloon messing around in the mountains. To my knownledge, the 528i has slight power advantage over the lighter e230. Overall thanks to the two brave drivers putting on a show with their bavarian machines for the world to see.

Great vid! Hands were sweating while watching.. Guy driving the merc was a mess!!! BMW was just rolling with the punches without a problem.. I think I saw the asc flash about 5 times that merc almost flipped about 3 times.

The E-Class is working beyond its capacity while the 5 Series is hardly doing 50% of its capacity. Anyway, the 528i will kill the E320 either.As for this turtlish E230, even the 523i is enough to leave it far behind. The 523i will even kill the E280.

BMW 5 Series is the best executive sedan in its segment.
