Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp founded Farm Aid in 1985 and serve on the board of directors. The three agreed that family farmers were in dire need of assistance and decided to plan a concert for America.
Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's Board of Directors in 2001 to help further Farm Aid's mission of keeping family farmers on their land.

Emmy played "Pancho and Lefty" at the Humboldt Brewery in Arcata, Calif. back in the early '90's.....I was in the back of the room leaning against a post. The beauty of her voice brought me to tears of joy. I've always loved her since she arrived on the scene in the 70's. She's created her own niche . Thank ye kindly, Emmy....

Linda ronstadt,Lucinda Williams et Dolly parton sont en effet des chanteuses parfaites de la country, mais Emmylou Harris est l'oiseau chanteur.....pour moi...la meilleure.
