Great idea you just saved me a ton

great vid... and you can still find these straps on sportsmans guide, it just takes some searching through catigories. Also walmart does have similar straps. they are just black. I picked up these for 1.88 and make one for me. works great. About the sewing, I personally am not a fan so i simply used super glue and then sewed by hand quickly. It has held up so far and does not seem like it is coming apart any time soon.

hey BOB nice vid.. have you ever made custom pouches from ballistic or Cordura nylon? Can your average machine sew this heavy material? a video of how to make a nylon case for a AK folder that can be attached to your pack would be great..

yeah a "normal" machine will do cordora. But only so many layers thick. With edging tape, etc. Im able to get about 3 to 4 layers of 1000d thats it.

Great video thank. On Sportsmans Guide I searched "strap" and found them, out of stock til Feb 15, 2010. On the same search result, Single Point Sling was $30.
