VAL TRENTA E ISONZO

In questo breve filmato vedremo il corso superiore del fiume Isonzo, che nasce nell'alta Val Trenta da una polla d'acqua a circa 1000 m slm.
Giardino Botanico Alpino "Juliana" fondato nel 1926 da Alberto Bois de Chesne che cercò di ricrearvi delle condizioni ambientali il più possibile simili a quelle presenti in natura con superficie di 2572 mq, presenti circa 600 specie diverse di piante.
Monumento a Julius Kugy (1858-1944), scalatore e pioniere, i suoi libri elogiano le bellezze delle Alpi Giulie. Il monumento lo raffigura mentre medita con lo sguardo rivolto alle montagne della Val Trenta, da lui tanto amate.
Paese di Soča: Chiesa di San Giuseppe, costruita all'inizio del XVIII secolo, all'esterno si erge un vecchio tiglio, nel lato posteriore sono situati i cimiteri del paese e quello militare della Prima Guerra Mondiale, dove sono sepolti più di 600 soldati austro-ungarici caduti negli anni 1915-17 sul fronte tra lo Javoršček ed il Monte Nero.

In this short movie we will see the upper river Isonzo, which in high Trenta Valley rises on a spring of water at about 1000 meters above sea level.
Alpine Botanical Garden "Juliana" was founded in 1926 by Alberto Bois de Chesne, who tried to recreate there environmental conditions as much as possible similar to those occurring in nature. It has an area of 2572 square meters, there are present about 600 different species of plants.

Village of Soča. Church of St. Joseph, built at the beginning of the XVIII century, an old linden stands outside, in the back there are located the cemetery of the village and the military cemetery of the First World War, where are buried more than 600 Austro-Hungarian soldiers, fallen in the years 1915-17 on the front between Javoršček and Krn.
