Philippines float, Lord Mayor's Show

For the first time ever the Philippines participated in the new Lord Mayor of London's parade from Mansion House to the Royal Courts of Justice and back. Entitled "Colours of the Philippines", the float designed by British-Filipino designer Rodrigo Enriquez (Olympics 2012 50p coin design winner) wowed bystanders who lined up the streets to watch the 800 year old parade, one of the great ceremonial traditions in the United Kingdom. The Lahing Kayumanggi dance troupe and Doce Pares martial arts escorted the float throughout with leaders and celebrities from the community.
