ok if you had to move site of travelers and a town who do you think would leave the biggest mess?and if you counted all of the murderers,rapists,peadophiles and robbers where do you think most of them would come from?town people or travellers?and who causes the most pollution,death and destruction to our planet without even caring?even the worst of travellers are nothing compared to the worst of house folk,so think before you judge a whole community on a few people.

@flute4hire Thats exactly why I'm being supremely careful. There are kushti drug free parkups, but folk are understandably protective. I'm hoping for somewhere I can do a little helping out in exchange for a safe pitch. There are mutterings of work for me too and I've bought a beautiful trailer which is old but looks "straight" . Owned the same b4 and it got weighed in whilst I was away. Thought I wuz a snob mebbe! council estate kid so dunno how. Just tried not to lunch out. Try even harder now

@DoctorBastardo I squatted, live on a lunch out side, met a family friend who was at stoney cross, got taken to wales, then lived on site uptil around 95 when the parties started to take their tole. The odd toot to come down let to 2.5 years of hell. I cleaned up in 99, Bin DJing,puttin gigs on in my old home town, Drinking is cultural up here more than anywhere. So I'm off to be a monk, with a hippy girl I met on youtube. All respect for you religion brother, it is very ancient and beautiful.

@flute4hire I'm hoping to move from the north where I can rent and be accepted despite the odd piercing and skin one shade the coppers "dont knick him" scale, down to devon. I'm boring & straight edge now, but I will never get a flat nice as this on benefits. Which I will be until I find work. Even then a mangled spine means I wont be fulltime. So I'm looking at sites. Will they accept a "puritan" as one old crusty described me. I want to avoid smack but still live the life again.. We'll See eh!

@DoctorBastardo I was on the site there on at the beggining, it was in fullham just the other side of wandsworth bridge.

yea its a dead life now, it was good in early 90s but went horid.

My rabbi (am now orthodox jewish) was on the road in the 80s beanfield eara & we share tales, the 80s lot were 10x more together than us 90s lot.

my landlords wife (orthodox jews) was also on the road in 90s.

i still visit a site in sheffield but its grim.

@flute4hire Me neither mate but by the sounds of it, 2 women shared the place whilst the blokes ruffed it. Site in the 90s became an unpleasant place for mums and mums to be, to be (lol), the constant evictions, vigilantes, drugs got a lot harder and less hippy. Even together sites had all night parties in the end. For many mums and even some dads it was too much. The originators earned from festis, the raves were a laugh but I cant blame someone for wanting peace for their nippers.

Third time lucky I hope. I'm having trouble commenting. This is lovely to see. My partner found the bus in the cement works in Hove, about 4 years ago. Rotting away, He has near worn himself out doing it up. I have tried posting a video but it won't work. If you want to see the story so far check out funkypixie1 .
