Emily and Nate Weaver leave the city for the rural comfort of Nate's ancestral home in New Hampshire. Once there, Emily is repeatedly haunted by horrifying visions and becomes overwhelmed by the total isolation of their new home. Just as she discovers she is pregnant, Nate starts exhibiting increasingly strange and violent behavior. In a house haunted by past victims, Emily fears she is the latest target in a murderous tradition.
