Educational video describing the condition known as radial nerve palsy. It is often referred to as saturday night palsy, honeymoon palsy or crutch palsy. This condition involves injury or compression to the radial nerve.

    "The radial nerve, which controls much of the movement in the hand, passes over the forearm bone just below the elbow.

    A strike to the radial nerve renders the hand and arm ineffective. An

    opponent can be disarmed by a strike to the forearm; if the strike is powerful

    enough, he can be knocked unconscious."

  • I have a severe case of radial nerve palsy from a work related injury.My radial nerve was cut, it took three months for a emg test, and two months for the results.I was told by numerous,neurogist surgery was to late.I have no control of my right arm,numbness,tingling,stabbing­,burning,etc chronic pain. No extension of arm,elbow or wrist.I Also have muscles spasms,muscles contractions,and high sensory.It been three and a half years wiith this condition is it any help for me.

  • @nabilebraheim Is there still hope for surgery,because the top neurogist in illinios said they never seen nothing like this,surgery was too late, my condition wasn't possible it was all in my head until my mri came back normal.Can radial nerve palsy cause other nerve conditions if not treated.

  • @AlexStenka Turns out I damaged my nerve in my arm due to sleeping and putting pressure on my forearm on a metal bar, I went to see my GP and she told me I would recover in a month, which I did!

  • @Aspired329 did it get better for u im waiting it out now and im a guitar player and a gamer so im sure u can imagine how i feel. my writ is dead
