You are raising an interesting point. Berber were the native people of Algeria and Morocco and originally they were all Christians and Jews.

There was a famous Berber woman Kahina who in the 7th century AD tried to stop the Islamization in current Algeria but who unfortunatelly failed.

And of course there is a very famous Berber woman in Catholicism. The mother of Augustin of Hippo, Saint Monica, was a Christian Berber woman who had a great influence on Augustin's life.

j' avais un voisin...Allah y rahmah...un Kabyle...un hadj...un bon Musulman...simple...honnete...­mais un VRAI KABYLE...sa langue le kabyle !!! et si ça ne plaisait pas aux bicots d'Arabes...qu'ils aillent au diable.

Ces gens recherchent le pardon et la paix spirituelle...et les missionnaires Chretiens s'adressent a eux DANS LEUR LANGUE.Je me souviens dans les année 90 j'ecoutais des chants religieux Chretiens en KABYLE.

A travers le monde les Chretiens utilisent meme des dialectes utilisés par une infime minorité...

I really dont believe money or a chance for a visa is the reason people are converting there. I think that is a stupid remark you made. I myself am Muslim and I think this is a bad trend, but I am reasonable enough to see that those people are converting with true intentions. These people converting are Berbers, a people that have seen vile persecution at the hands of the Arab government and Islamic extremists. Them converting is a failure of Muslims in general, not so much a failure of them.
