  • Correct me if I'm wrong...but isn't it H20 (Water) that is filtered out of the Distal Tubule and not NaCl?

    @ sweetbutdarling: It does make sense. The interstitial fluid outside the descending loop is MORE concentrated in solutes than the loop is. Water will always move osmotically from an area of low concentration to an area of high concentration. This is why water travels out from the loop into the interstitial fluid.

  • This doesn't make sense, if water leaves the descending loop the concentration of solutes in interstitial fluid becomes LESS concentrationed not more.

    This animation is very confusing and unclear.
