My opinion about this device
BlackBerry Curve 9300 is a great basic BlackBerry smartphone. It does everything well that any BlackBerry should do: email, texting, social networking (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube), instant messaging (AOL, ICQ, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo, Blackberry Messenger). These social networking and IMs are integrated with your BlackBerry massaging folder along with your emails and texts so you always are getting push notifications about new messages (IMs, social net., whatever) in real time! That's why I love BlackBerry smatphones so much :) The built quality is great. The phone seems big, but it fits to your hand very well and it's really light. The QWERTY keyboard is dream to type on. The trackpad is fast and sensitive - much better than trackball on older BlackBerry Curve and Bold models or Nokia-like buttons. OS 6 is much better than OS 5. The WebKit browser is really faster than traditional BlackBerry browser. There's no lags on phone performance.
The only cons of this device are: battery life (2-3 days), and photo and video quality (2MP camera with no flash).

This video has been recorded in 720p HD with Panasonic Lumix TZ10 and has been edited in Windows Live Movie Maker.

  • i am 13 years old is this a good blackberry to get ?

  • @Mralexkaya Yeah, why not? BlackBerries are not only for boys in black suites and shiny shoes :D With BB you have email, messengers, social networks .Well, there is also financial factor. It depends of how much money you or rather your parents can spend on your mobile phone. There is also monthly cost of Blackberry Internet Service. Some countries like Ireland and UK have BackBerry on pre-paid (Vodafone) + cost of BIS (15 euro per month). But many countries have berries on bill pay only.

  • are the speakers and picture quality good ?

  • @Mralexkaya Speakers are quiet good and loud. Picture quality is average. They are good in daylight, but at night not so much. Video quality is poor - Curve records only in 240p.

  • @rollingpapers23 bb desktop manager

  • @rollingpapers23 There is for this particular model. How I got this? I just plugged my BB to PC with mini USB where I had my BlackBerry Desktop Software already opened and it automatically alerted me that there is update for my operating system of the device. It was major update so first I backed up my all data. Overall it was actually very simple process. It took about 10 minutes.
