yes,and the recent sluggish economy has put even more of a pull on the rising nemployment rate.as government battle budget deficits,government workers are also losing their jobs,and a stimulus package doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon.simultaneously monetary policy is unavailable now.

Americans don't even know that unemployment is what the RICH want. Lower wages, lack of bargaining power, and lower work qualities. Americans don't understand that the BUSH tax cuts have destroyed our prosperity and shifted all wealth into the hands of a few. There is no recovery. There will be LONG sustained job stagnation. Welcome to the Republican paradise. Until people implement socialism properly, you will have NOTHING. Until people unionized, you have no bargaining power.

U6 is 16% of nation is unemployed
Unemployed = actively looking for work? No. Unemployed are people of age to work, need a job but cant find one.
