Everyday people have asthma. Every day 10 of them die. Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics and the American College of Allergy Asthma & Immunology cosponsor a message of help and hope on the CBS Superscreen in Times Square. Friends who helped: Aerocrine, Dey Pharma, LP, ImmunoCap, MBM Productions International, and Neutron Media.

New York City has some of the most troubling asthma and allergy statistics in the country, but ours is a global problem. What better place to reach the masses with good news and real help than Times Square? It's where you'll see people of all nations bustling shoulder-to-shoulder through their day, never knowing that 1 out of every 4 people around them have one or both conditions.

In the space of 15 seconds, once every hour, we're showing the faces of asthma and allergies. We're neighbors, children, friends and relatives, co-workers, public servants. Our struggles begin on the inside where others can't see or feel. But there is help! There are answers! AANMA and ACAAI are here to help you find answers that fit YOUR life.

Now that you've found AANMA, get to know us. Since 1985, we've been helping families just like yours overcome symptoms and move on. We understand, because we have asthma and related allergic conditions, too. You are not alone.

•Browse the website — it's continually changing, so check back often or sign up for RSS feeds.
•Join the conversation on Facebook and Twitter.
•Speak with Carol Jones, RN, AE-C, AANMA's nurse educator and mom at 800.878.4403 or aanmahelpline@aanma.org.
•Join AANMA and support our advocacy efforts, get involved in volunteer activities and enjoy our family-perfect publications: The MA Report newsletter (best described as "a support system that arrives in your mailbox") and Allergy & Asthma Today magazine. Membership also supports the free services we provide to families who need our help but are financially unable to support the effort at this time.
•Get medical help from board-certified allergists. Allergists help you achieve your health goals. Together, you'll find the root cause of symptoms and discover ways to minimize the need for medications and maximize your life. ACAAI provides a free directory at "Find an Allergist. Find Relief." You'll also find podcasts and free self-assessment checklists.

Getting and keeping asthma and allergic conditions under control is a journey with good days and learning experiences. Let's walk together.

The AANMA/ACAAI CBS Super Screen billboard ad was developed by AANMA and paid for by AANMA, ACAAI, Aerocrine, Dey Pharma, LP and services in kind provided by MBM Productions, Neutron Media and Phadia.
