http://www.synergy-athletics.com - Lunges are a high quality exercise, but if you combine them with a football field, it leads to an all new kind of muscle soreness! We went out and performed these with Jim Smith of the Diesel Crew yesterday, working on that unilateral lower body strength.

If you notice around the 50 yrd line, my right toe starts dragging some. That's when I started to lose muscle control. Great competitive challenge.

- Joe Hashey, CSCS -
Synergy Athletics

PS. Like it mentions in the video, the lunges of death are performed with a sandbag or dumbells weighing 50 lbs.

  • how much does the bag weigh?

  • Its a 50 lb bulgarian sandbag.

  • OUCH!

so how sore did we get and where?

  • Very sore today, which is rare now ad days since we train a lot. Where is a great question. Glutes a ton, quads some, and a little less in the ham strings.
