Lewisburg, PA -- It was exactly ten years ago today -- 26 July 2001 -- the "Hit Song" inspired by a meteor strike was released, launching a global entertainment act. Three days earlier, the massive 30-ton meteor had been sighted by millions of Americans as it streaked across the daytime skies of northeastern USA and exploded over a nearby wheat field, where six Susquehanna Valley musicians witnessed the event. They were immediately inspired to write and release a new song -- and within 72 hours of the meteor‟s blast, "Hot Rock Came To The Country," was sailing across radio airwaves. A new band was born.
