Top 10 Gaming Laptops
It's amazing how many people talk about gaming laptops as if they are a secondary afterthought that really don't need to be mentioned. If you start cruising through the gaming forums and see anyone asking for advice on a gaming laptop the overwhelming consensus is to get a desktop.

There is no question that a desktop computer can out-perform a laptop for gaming in most cases. It can also be built up to be a spectacular gaming unit at a lower price. Where does that leave gaming laptops and why do so many people still want them?

The answer is mobility. Sure, there are some gamers that don't mind being tied to their desktop with a ball and chain whenever they want to play a game. This is a choice. They should not, however, answer a question about a gaming laptop by saying that a desktop is needed. These are two separate animals and a gaming laptop gives mobility where the other doesn't.

Society as a whole has become more mobile and there are thousands of reasons why a person would need to have a gaming laptop on the go. Some businessmen take their laptop from hotel to hotel during business trips. Younger people may take their laptop to get together at friends' homes to pass some time playing games. Students often study on the go since their living space is usually limited and can get quite confining.

A lot of students don't even have room in their dormitory to set up a desktop computer. They rely on their laptop for their research and use it to play games once study time is over. Why would anyone ever tell the person in this situation that they should get a desktop instead of a laptop for playing games?

Many serious gamers are investing in both a desktop and a laptop. There is a market for gaming notebooks and it's not going to go away any time soon. People are traveling locally and internationally and a laptop for gamers gives them the chance to play wherever they are in the world.
