Hi, i've the same camera but never succeeded in transfering video from tape to computer using the supplid i-link cable & sony picture motion browser. What are the required settings for the camera and the software?

its great but i have a question: how many seconds can you record to one tape in HD mode?
ZetenyParadoXon 2 years ago
that depends on how long is on the tape, I have some 60 min HD tapes.
If you're referring to the slow motion mode, then the camera has a 3 second buffer that captures at 240fps, then records this onto the tape over 12 seconds

how many mb is a 10 minute video? im thinking of getting it but uploading to youtube might be long. and btw how do you get videos on to your computer and edit them?

this camera uses Minidv tape, so the MB depends on your capture settings. It connects to the PC or MAC via Firewire (sony calls it iLink). Then edit using your editing application of choice

i've the same ccamera but I do not know how to do the slow motion? hw do I do it?

go to the on screen menu, select recording mode, and the slow motion mode should be in there somewhere. It records a 3 second clip at 240 fps, then buffers it up and records it to the tape
