Fidler's Fancy danced the Marston Dance at the Lion Salt Works, Marston as part of their anniversary celebrations in 1999 when they performed dances in the villages and towns which carry their names. Fidler's Fancy was established in the late 1880's by Charles Burgess Fidler, a fish merchant in Stockport, Cheshire and became a womens morris team during the First World War when the young men volunteered to fight and there was a shortage of men dancers. The present team was formed in 1977. www.fidlersfancy.co.uk
