I was there in Colorado for all of the stages in 86 and 87. The way I remember there were only 6 riders a team, so many riders were forced to ride on different teams. Some European riders teams weren't there so they had to join in with what ever team for that race only. LeMond had just won his first Tour de France just weeks before. The women raced a similiar stage to the men each day. I had a crush on 83 world champ from Sweden Marianne Bergland.
(by the way, can anyone explain that cobbled-together levis team that hampsten and anderson were on? what were the logistics with that? cool outfit, though.)
