http://go.tagjag.com/ssd - http://geeks.pirillo.com - What's your bottleneck in your primary machine? For most people, it's actually the speed of their hard drive. SSD is coming into its own, and can definitely clean up this problem for you. I received a review unit recently, and you can consider me a convert! http://chris.pirillo.com Distributed by Tubemogul.

  • I will get an SSD in 2013.

Because I don't need to pay over $9000 for a little speed boost right now.

  • hi there I am still a student, and i have 2 samsung spin point 1 tb hdd in my macbook pro (2011) in raid 0, i have around 160 mbps read and write. i just use 64 gb of space in my mac. my idea is to buy 2 128 gb Samsung 830 ssd. they are around 530 mbps read, and 320 mbps write. they are around 200$ do you think it's worth it? do you think i'll get around 700 mbps?

  • Well it's been 3 years. It's still not standard, it's still for enthusiasts but it's getting lower in price.

  • @Deathtitan100 I would recommend a Crucial M4 64GB. They are on Newegg for $110 right now and come with 2 gigs of laptop memory as a free gift. They are some of the most reliable SSD's available.

  • @FonixFire not right now you aint, its cheaper to buy a ssd than an hdd

  • i am looking at getting a ssd for game storage, Not windows, and just wondering if anyone could recomand a good reliable one?

    OMG

  • @dudedxrox Why?

  • best thing to do is get like a 60GB SSD as a primary drive for windows, programs and games, and have like 500GB-2TB DDR (depending how much you need) for storage. This will make your computer crazy fast while only spending about 90$ for the advantage of having an SSD. Thats what i did (well, i got a 64GB but w/e) and i use my 500GB 6GB/s 7200rpm DDR for storage. it works perfectly. i rly recommend doing this if you don't want to buy a big SSD since they are quite expensive.

  • What about the failure rate of SSD drives? im looking to get a vertex 3 or a corsair force (because vertex 3's can be unreliable).
