Japan earthquake: supporting tsunami survivors

"We are with you!" This is the message of support that underpinned ChildFund's emergency relief work in Japan following the devastating earthquake and tsunami in March 2011.
This video documents the approach taken by ChildFund Japan to assist children and communities affected by the disaster, many of whom are living in temporary housing. ChildFund Japan became a lead agency in the support of children to work through the psychological effects of the tsunami and the loss of their families.
The interviews provide a moving insight into what people are experiencing and show how the community aspects of ChildFund's work are helping children and families to cope with the trauma and their current living situation.
