A transformer box on the telegraph pole outside our house blew a fuse or something and sparks fell onto the dry nature strip. 3 days in a row of 43 degree temperatures and a hot wind conspired to blow the fire onto our fence, then our shed and eventually into the roof of our house. This was taken during the later stages of the fire, once I realised that my mum's camera also had a video function...

  • Yow! That is hot! It rarely gets that hot here (I am in Pennsylvania, which is in the NE part of the country), so it stays pretty mild here even in the summer. Sometimes, though, it DOES get over 100F and that is a PAIN! :P
