New Best Line in All Cinematography: "I Would Neva Have any kind of Pornographic Activity With a-a- Fokkin' Creature!" LOL! Film Clip from 2009's "District 9" (Blomkamp/ Jackson) where new actor Sharlto Copely utters these soon to become iconic lines. Background: Wikus sprayed himself with an alien inky substance, now ostracized and mutant can only dream of his life before the accident. He reacts to the Mal-Tele-Slander. Ending scene plucks heart-strings and is a brilliant, fitting denouement.\
Kernel For The Screenplay "Alive in Joburg" Idea? - Check out "Wicus van der Merwe": Different spelling by "c" instead of Copley's "k" in "Wicus." Wicus van der Merwe is the pop singer whose song lyrics are all in the Africaans language of South Africa. Wicus van der Merwe's song "Ek En Jy," you might consider sparked the movie's screenplay as it translates into english: "ME AND YOU." ~ "Art imitates life" in this cinematic treatment of aparteid: Who could select a better name for the tale's hero-turned- sad-Satyr who transmorphs from one of "Us" into one of "Them?" I would love to see an Africaans to English translation of song lyrics for Wicus van der Merwe's "Ek En Jy." Please comment, leaving it's URL, if you (viewer) should find one.
