You have to understand that its the time of 43.75 to 44.74 that got Merritt the GOLD, thats what counts the most.Listen to most of the athelets and you would have heard them say that they were running for the gold not the record. Bolt shows us both sides of the coin.He jogs the last of the 100m and runs all out the 200m. A person can run 43.18s all four years long but if he can't run it at the Olympics then its not what he was training for.

The Gold is what they train for.Records are a plus.

ok its one race and there both close to each other in times, jeremy kinda died that last 80-70 meters and it happens but he doesn't suck no way there both amazing!
