Village Missionary Jeremiah Knoop sang this song he wrote at our Rexford Summer Connection Conference. It perfectly captures Village Missions' passion to make a difference in rural North America. Here are the powerful lyrics:

Unremembered Places
By Jeremiah Knoop

Small town / dirt roads
The church sign / says "closed"
Out of sight / Out of mind
Now left / behind

Forgotten / So often
The gospel's six feet underground
So Jesus / left us
Footprints where others won't be found

The question now remains...

Who will go where others won't go,
Serve where others won't serve,
Be Jesus to the forgotten of our day?
Who will fight to keep the churches open,
Preach the Word of Hope and
Love the people of these Unremembered Places?

We are/ called out
To reach the least of these
To push past / these walls
To be the hands and feet
Of Jesus / Who loved us
And gave us all He had to give
Then He said, Follow Me
To wherever be
The uttermost of where we live

The question's still the same...

*Chorus*

In the Great Commission
There's a vision
Where we are filling up more than Sunday pews
Where we are really showing love
To the ends of
The world encompassing me and you

*Chorus*
