  • @2003SCT No. Prohibition's nucleus was social progressivism, not conservatism. Preserving the status quo meant conserving the right to drink, something traditionally done since time immemorial. Conservatives conserve. Progressives sought to upend the status quo.

  • the people in the year 2050 are looking back at us now on the topic of cannabis and its many uses

  • Prohibition was cleverly introduced as a "temporary" Wartime Act in order to supposedly save grain.

  • It's sad what some people will do for alcohol.

  • The two things that were truly the nucleus of Prohibition: Social conservatism and religion. These people would have outlawed people having sex if they could have. lol

  • About dott com says this about prohibition:

"The reality, despite the prohibitionist's propaganda, is that PROHIBITION WAS NEVER REALLY POPULAR WITH THE AMERICAN PUBLIC"

How convenient for the Robber Barons, their unpopular law would require hiring masses of new enforcers for The Empire, cops, to police all the victimless crime

"There were never enough law enforcement officers to control all of the illegal operations associated with prohibition and many of the officials were themselves corrupt."

  • There were more people in the "Speak Easies" than there were at the protests against the crime of alcohol brewing as became demented reality lost from a measured sense of guilt, creating victimless crimes according to statute written by shady men who owned propaganda outlets.

  • awesome vid from an awesome channel : D

  • Prohibition still exists today
