What Cruze has going for it is its size. A family of 4 could use this car as its primary transportation. Good luck doing that in most economy cars. What Chevy really needs to do is drop the 3.0l DI motor in this and create an affordable sport model.

Definitely, cruze is an execellent car!
it its better than corolla and civic.
I think that its strong competition is the mazda 3, which it is also an awesome car.
The only disadvantage that I may say that cruze has, is its motor.. the 1.4 and the 1.8 is insufficient, 2.0 or a 2.4 may help

Love it how they compare everything to mongrels like to civic and corolla when a mazda3 or an elantra offer better equip-to-price options.

Not even close lol. This car isn't built for performance like the SS was. GM needs to build it as a good economy car where 95% of its sales will be.
They have the Camaro for performance now.
