Making "Organic Brew" Soap - a beer soap made with all certified organic ingredients

"Organic Brew" Soap is made from Certified Organic FishTale Wild Salmon Pale Ale (does not taste or smell like Salmon nor does it contain any salmon.) This beer is from a local brewery in Olympia, Washington.

This soap is made with Certified Organic Oils. I used Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Coconut Oil and Organic Shea Butter.

Does it smell like beer? It smells a little bit like beer but will not leave you smelling like beer. It will leave you nice and clean :)

Beer is good for skin and hair. It contains lots of minerals and B vitamins and has been used in topical skincare for thousands of years! From ancient Egypt to be exact. Studies have shown that using beer on your skin can reduce sebum production and also has anti-bacterial properties. This is good news if you suffer from acne or oily complexion. Beer helps maintain the PH balance of skin. Since it's so good for both dry and oily skin, it's a complete hit for combination skin types. Beer, like wine, is rich in anti-oxidants. I love Soapers Choice. They have a large variety and they have organic which is a plus. I am working on an organic soap line for the festival season. Nice video!

The color is so beautiful... great tutorial! Actually even boilling beer does not remove all the alcohol. It does remove most but even if you boil it all day, there is still always a fraction of a percentage left {my dh is a home brewer}. Of course there is little to worry about in making beer soap :-)

@EdentiaFarms My youngest son, the Environmentalist, and I went for a long walk in the conservation land behind my house with the dogs on Sun. Now that he works for the govt & is living in the big city he has lost some of his passion for nature but Sundays walk nudged him a little...I have received daily emails from him commenting on what we saw, shared & I know it brought him back to the "bark" so to speak. hehe Sent him home with some of my Cedar, Sweetgrass, Sage soap to keep him on track
