This video demonstrates how Windows users are offered the setup file for Google Video Player or a Google playlist file (GVP) when trying to download an AVI clip. A Greasemonkey script provides direct access to the AVI file and removing a Google list entry from the AVI-header with a hexeditor enables Windows Media Player to render the video.

I like how all this is explained except for the key component - where did you get the stinking hex editor? Such a small detail...yet so important.
