When we first pitted the Camaro SS against the Mustang GT, Ford fans complained it was an unfair race given the horsepower disparity. But now Ford has tipped the scale way back in it's advantage with the top of the line supercharged snake, the GT500. We head to the drag strip to see how the underdog Chevy stacks up.

@drfaticus I thought i'd let you know, that while the Ford SVT Raptor finished last on American Top Gears test track timing board, none of the other cars can go off road much less do it fast. The car at the top of the list is Tanner Fausts racing Fiesta beating the second place car by 2s, and those cars included the Viper and the ZR1. So Ford owns the fastest time for off road vehicles and the fastest time overall on Top Gear. The GT500 with the ZO7s cheater tires would haul ass.

@wolfpackfan2317 The 2012 5.0L Mustang GT beats the 6.2L Copycat SS Camaro and in 2013 it gets even worse for the Camaro. Chevy fans have proven they prefer style over substance as the Camaro keeps outselling the Mustang month after month. If you put the same rear tires on both of the above cars, the GT500 will run away from the Camaro like a bad habit and trip the lights a second and a half quicker in the 1/4 mile.

@drfaticus nope. my point never changed, you pay 16k more to be 1.1 sec faster than me. 1.1 doesnt justify 16k you idiot. if i added 16k worth of parts to mine, then they would be the same dollar value, do you get it? dollar for dollar mine is faster even with a pro driver. you need a life dude, for two days you have been on youtube trashing camaros like as if what you said would hold any value to someone who can actually afford either of these cars
