Motor Scooter Ride in Can Tho - 16 April, 2009

So, here I was, wandering around Can Tho, Vietnam, I had gone off the main street and found myself meandering along this twisty, tiny alley with all kinds of fascinating things for sale. When I finally started paying attention to where I was, I realized I didn't know where I was. I stopped in a bar to have a cold Tiger beer and look over the map, when three beautiful young women that worked there came up to see if they could help. We figured out where I was and where I need to go, and then one of them offered to give me a ride on the back of her motor scooter. I put on a too-small helmet with a Mickey Mouse ear design, hopped on the back, grabbed her waist with one hand and my camera with the other and off we went. The traffic wasn't too bad and I think she was being extra gentle with me, we made it safely to the hotel and she left without taking any payment for her services. The guys that worked at the hotel seemed pretty impressed with my chauffeur . . .

most of can tho people are kind-hearted like your chauffeur....
